What kind of robot would be realistic to make within 8 months and with less than 200 dollars?

For school I need to make a robot.
Some ideas were walking robots, with 4, 3 or 2 legs.
An other idea was an RC car or motorcycle.

We have about 200 dollars to spend and 8 months to work on it (not daily of course).

Anyone know if any of these ideas are realistic with this budget and time? If not, know any other good robotic projects?
